As the title says, big changes are coming here at Velomobile World. Changes are a constant in our lives and we have to constantly adapt to the new challenges that appear in our way, so changes are inevitable, we have to accept it.
As you know, we offer a wide range of velomobile models. It’s essential for us to change some of the processes to reduce production complexity, so everything is more clear and continue to deliver great products to you guys.
We're aiming to make production more efficient, focus on fewer products, and make sure our dealers don't have too many models. In this way, it will be much clearer for customers what model to choose for their needs and our dealers are not overwhelmed with too many different models for test drives.
Because there are some new models (such as Bülk Urban and Bülk 4 More) we have to say also goodbye to some older models. In 2023, we discussed with several dealers the possibility of discontinuing the Milan SL model if we don't receive more than 10 orders annually. In 2023 we received 3 orders and in 2024 we received only 2 orders till now, so 5 orders in one and a half year for SL which is not enough to keep the production going for this model. But don’t worry, Milan GT will continue and we have a special offer for SL.
As you know, there will be prices change (we made the announcement on May 9, 2024, you can see all the details HERE) and starting with July 1, 2024 we have to increase the prices for all the velomobiles. But there will be an exception: the Milan SL velomobile will have the current price if you order until September 1, 2024 and we gonna deliver it before December, but there are only 5 places available. So, we are going to make still 5 Milan SLs in our factory and then it’s over, production stops for Milan SL. So if you thought you wanted to have a Milan SL in your life, now is the time.
